« Electronic Labyrinth THX 1138 4EB » by George Lucas
While monitored and pursued, a man races to escape through a futuristic labyrinth.
Watch the short film that helped launch George Lucas’ filmmaking career. While a student at USC George Lucas was already delving into the world of sci-fi and his 1967 short film « Electronic Labyrinth THX 1138 4EB » brought him to the attention of Steven Spielberg and Francis Ford Coppola. In 1971 Coppola would go on to produce the feature version THX 1138, written and directed by George Lucas and starring Robert Duvall and Donald Pleasence. Without this short Lucas may not have had the pull to create Star Wars.
DUST is excited to have the opportunity to present the short to you as part of our USC Student Film Week.
